Called Out Conference…
Called Out Conference aims to glorify God by conveying the most glorious truth in the world: that Jesus heroically rescued us from eternal suffering and calls us to delight in Him in everything.
…desires to proclaim the gospel to the next generation by partnering with parents, youth pastors and students through teaching, discipleship, networking, and resources.
Called Out is a gathering for students to confront them with the truth of the Gospel and compel them to live radical lives for Christ through teaching, worship, breakout sessions, and relationships.
2024 Main Session Speakers:
-
Greg Gilbert
Greg grew up in a wonderful Christian family, with two parents who love the Lord very much and made sure that he heard the good news of salvation at every opportunity. At 9 years old, he professed faith in Christ as his Dad shared the gospel yet again and he was baptized shortly thereafter. For the next few years, he grew as a Christian, still attending church, and then went to Yale University for undergrad studies. Those were good years spiritually, mostly because he had to learn like never before how to defend his faith. It was also during those years that the Lord began to call him to Christian ministry. After Yale, Greg spent some time serving in a few different churches, went to seminary, got married to Moriah, and had three awesome kids: Justin, Jack, and Juliet. Greg was called to serve Third Avenue Baptist as the Senior Pastor in 2010. This is Greg’s 3rd Called Out Conference!

Jeremy Kimble
Dr. Jeremy Kimble, professor at Cedarville University, is passionate about teaching college and graduate students the truth of God’s Word. His hope is that through his courses, students will grow in their love for God and others, rightly understand the grand narrative of Scripture, and apply theological truths to everyday life. Dr. Kimble is committed to teaching in the classroom, mentoring students, and speaking in church, camp, and conference settings. He served in pastoral ministry for eight years and is currently Director of Leadership Development at University Baptist Church. Dr. Kimble's academic interests include biblical and systematic theology, ecclesiology, preaching, and the formation and mission of the church. This is Jeremy’s first Called Out Conference!
-
Doug Ponder
Dr. Ponder is the Professor of Biblical Studies at Grimké Seminary. He is also a teaching pastor at Remnant Church in Richmond, Virginia, where he has served in the same role since its founding in 2009. In addition to teaching his students and serving his church, Doug has published many articles for various evangelical organizations and contributed to several books as a co-author and an editor. He and his wife, Jessica, have four sons with quirky names (like Athanasius) and even quirkier personalities (like their dad). When he’s not teaching or writing about the Bible, Doug enjoys doing nerdy stuff, like reading The Lord of the Rings, listening to classical music, and teaching Latin to elementary school students. This is Doug’s 3rd Called Out Conference!
